With its breathtaking scenery and exciting ski terrain, skiing in the Lyngen Alps is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that should not be missed.

Itinerary

Upon arriving in Tromsø, you'll take in the incredible Arctic landscape. Known as the "Gateway to the Arctic". From the airport you will drive to Svensby. Surrounded by mountains, fjords, and the Northern Lights, Svensby sets the perfect tone for your ski touring adventure in the Lyngen Alps. The meeting point is Tromsø Airport, where you will meet the rest of the group and the guide. We recommend arrive before 12 pm.
We start our journey in the nearby Kvaløya Island, a hidden gem for ski touring. Kvaløya offers fantastic runs with breathtaking views over the fjords and the Atlantic Ocean. The varied terrain, from open slopes to forested areas, will challenge and excite both seasoned and new ski tourers alike. We return to Tromsø in the evening to rest up for the next day.
We travel to the southern part of the Lyngen Alps, where endless peaks await. Today, you'll ski some of the most dramatic mountain faces with incredible views over the Lyngenfjord. These slopes provide a mix of steep, exciting descents and wide-open spaces ideal for freeriding. After a full day on the snow, we’ll relax at a cozy lodge in Lyngen.
Today, we head north into the heart of the Lyngen Alps, an iconic destination for ski touring. With towering peaks and deep snow, this area offers some of the best backcountry skiing in Norway. The terrain ranges from smooth snowfields to steep couloirs, giving you a full range of challenges. We return to our base in Lyngen for the night, where you can unwind with stunning views of the fjords.
We shift our focus to the western side of the Lyngen Alps, an area known for its deep snow and untouched runs. This region offers unparalleled off-piste skiing, with incredible panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the sea. The mix of high peaks and fjords makes it a truly unique experience. In the evening, you can relax in a traditional Norwegian lodge and soak in the peaceful Arctic atmosphere.
We’ll take you to another stunning part of the Lyngen Alps. Our guides will select the best route based on weather and snow conditions.
For the last day Lorenzo will select the best route based on weather and snow conditions, ensuring you finish your trip with a thrilling descent. We return to Tromsø to enjoy one final night in this Arctic paradise.
On your final morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading to the airport for your departure. Reflect on your week of adventure in the Lyngen Alps and the unforgettable memories made during your time in Norway. We recommend book a flight after 3 pm.

The ski, the mountains, the view, the house were really amazing. The guide was good as well but he did not speak english at all, it was very difficult to understand him. In an international trip like that I think this is a shame.

A wonderful stay in Norway! The accommodation was magnificent, from the decor and amenities to its location! The only slight drawback was perhaps the car rental, which was a bit small considering the amount of equipment we had to transport (skis, suitcases). The journey from the airport to the house wasn't easy. Kudos to the guide, who didn't speak French but managed to adapt and communicate with our group, who were all from France.

The adventure in Norway with Mapo Tapo was amazing. Everything was well organised, the accommodations were spacious and nice, and the guide very very good. We skied everyday, and even when the weather wasn’t the best, our guide managed to find good itineraries to still enjoy the powder and have fun.
